Why ‘Princeps’?
Our Mission
The term ‘Princepes’, or its singular form ‘Princeps’, refers to the esteemed heavy infantry soldiers known as Principes who formed a significant part of the Roman military structure. These soldiers, who initially served as spearmen and later transformed into skilled swordsmen, were essential components of the early Roman armies, demonstrating both bravery and tactical expertise. Each Princeps was meticulously chosen, handpicked for their ability to perform their designated roles with excellence. They were not only provided with specialized tools but were also expected to engage in rigorous training to ensure they could operate these instruments effectively.
Our mission extends beyond simple ownership; we aim to cultivate a community of skilled and responsible gun owners who recognize that the role of a protector—be it for oneself or for others—involves far more than merely having a weapon conveniently placed at one's side. Safeguarding your own well-being, as well as that of your loved ones, necessitates a serious commitment to self-improvement and proficiency with the instruments you carry. If you find yourself in possession of a firearm on a frequent basis but neglect to invest time in fruitful training, you may inadvertently become a liability, both to yourself and to those whom you wish to protect.
It is not just naive, but also perilous, to assume that self-defense is merely about the action of "point and shoot." Research indicates that the accuracy rate of law enforcement officers (LEOs) in high-stress shooting situations hovers around 30%. This statistic underscores the point that effective self-defense isn't as straightforward as it may appear and highlights the vital need for consistent and dedicated training.
In today's world, anyone with a clean background has the opportunity to obtain the necessary tools for protection, but it is imperative that we go a step further. We must actively engage in training that can transform us into protectors and valuable assets rather than potential liabilities. This is the fundamental reason for the existence of Princeps Consulting Group.
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
Our mission is to cultivate a community of capable and responsible gun owners who understand the critical importance of training and preparedness. Carrying a firearm is not merely about the ability to shoot; it involves mastering the use of that tool as a means of defending oneself and one's family in life-threatening situations. In a world where complacency and weakness can jeopardize safety, we emphasize the necessity for men to engage actively in their own protection, equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills required to effectively respond to threats. Only through commitment to this protectors ethos can we foster a society of strong men who know what it means to protect themselves and their family.
